THE MISSING DIMENSION -BRINGING IN THE BALANCE

Science as a discipline is accepted and known to be different and separate from Religion. Science explores and investigates the existence of matter without consulting Religion. In fact, science is
the “religion” of the atheists, agnostics and secularists. Even though scientists vehemently denythat they have anything to do with Religion yet they go out of their way to prove the non-existence of God; they very ecstatically announce that “God is dead.” This is a very broad generalization and I am aware that it’s dangerous to go down this path and therefore agree that just as there are exceptions to every rule so too there are some scientists who do acknowledge the existence of God. Most scientists don’t subscribe to the notion that there is a Divine Intelligence and even scoff at such foolishness.
Science and religion has never had a mutual friendship; they have always been opposed to one another. When Copernicus proclaimed that not the earth but the sun was the centre of the solar system the Church “crucified” him. Neither did Galileo fare too well at the hands of Religion. Religion believed that the earth was flat and one would fall off the edge but science proved that the earth was in fact a globe and one can never fall off the edge. Religion cannot stand on its own; it needs science to give it a proper perspective and for the knowledge of its existence. Without science religion sees darkly; science helps religion to see clearly. What has religion to offer? Without Religion science is meaningless! Religion is the source of all of creation and without religion nothing would exist. Therefore unless one is connected to the Source then however much discovery science may make you would still be floating like cosmic junk in the galaxy somewhere having no bearings at all. Religion is the anchor of the soul. Religion is the true life; the breath that flows through me. When I am connected to the Source then I may venture anywhere in the Cosmos and not be afraid of being lost because I am connected to the Divine Being. The Divine Source is the source of my being and my existence. When I connect to the Divine Source then I am one with the Divine One. My spirit is one with the Supreme Divine Spirit. My soul is immersed into the Divine Soul. The Supreme Light lights up my being and fills me with light. Religion is the source of all creation and science helps discover the nature of all creation. Religion and Science need each other.
Science at both the macro-level and the nano-level is the discovery of the laws of nature.
Through highly sophisticated telescopes like the Hubble Telescope science advances closer to the understanding of how certain planets and stars of our Solar System function. In the same way through very advanced electron microscopes science is able to look into the very depths of matter and have a better understanding of what matter is composed of and what holds it together. Science helps discover the wonders of Nature. I cannot forget the thrill of my first look through a telescope when I saw the rings of Saturn nor can I forget my first look through a microscope and see a paramecium and amoeba wriggling around or the busy factory of the chloroplasts in the cross section of a leaf. Science has filled me with awe and reverence for the Divine One. The more I discover through science the more I worship at the Holy Feet of the Divine Intelligence. Science helps me to understand the workings of the Cosmos and the true nature of creation. Science is after all a discovery of the laws of nature. Take gravity for example: science discovered gravity. Gravity always existed but science, in fact Isaac Newton, discovered the existence of gravity. The mitochondria and Golgi apparatus always existed in every cell but it was science that discovered it and through the advanced technology of electron microscopy the nature and function of these organelles were discovered. Now we know that the mitochondria are related to the function of respiration of the cell and excretion to that of the Golgi apparatus. Science is making new discoveries everyday and new revelations of the laws of nature are coming to light. Many disciplines of science have arrived at that place where it can be said that there is old science and new science. The new science is bringing a greater clarity of the laws of nature that have already been discovered and is also discovering new laws of nature.
All of creation without any exception functions according to the laws of nature. The Divine Intelligence, the Creator of all has created all things to function in that particular way. Therefore discovering the laws of nature helps us to discover another facet of the Divine Diamond. The question that is begging to be asked now is this: does the new science have any bearing on Religion? Religion and the laws of nature cannot be separated; therefore new science that discovers new laws of nature will have a bearing on religion too. At a later date we will look into the specifics of these new laws of nature but for now we want to stay with the construct that new science has discovered new laws of nature which has a direct bearing on Religion. We have seen that Religion and science complement each other; they go hand-in-hand. However, I have discovered that there is a missing dimension in my life – how to live in harmony with the Cosmos. Religion makes me aware of nature but doesn’t encourage me to embrace it and science helps me to know the laws of nature but never eggs me on to experience it. However, the new science and nature embraces each other and fuses into the Divine Being giving us a more holistic experience and awareness of the Divine Reality. This new awareness propels me forward to become one with the Cosmos and to embrace nature and live in harmony with it. I now have a liberty to dive into the cosmic ocean and experience the beauty of the aetheric ocean just as a diver may dive into the depths of the coral reef and be awed by the beauty of the watery underworld. However, unlike the diver who cannot become one with the beauty of the coral reef I can experience oneness with the aetheric ocean while exploring the depths of it. I was made to embrace nature and live in harmony with it. Being connected to the Divine Source of all creation should necessarily mean living in harmony with nature and understanding the laws of nature. Previously I was deprived of this privilege but now new science has presented me with the opportunity to discover nature anew and bring me into balance in the Divine Cosmos.
Some of you reading this may be saying to yourself that this sounds very much like New Age
and you would be right and I would be the first one to agree with you. But before you shout “crucify” him allow me to explain. Who is a New Ager? They are former agnostics who have found spirituality. Whereas previously they didn’t believe in a Divine Creator now they do. They also believe this Divine One is present everywhere and they have a desire to become one with the Divine One; they have a desire to immerse themselves into this Cosmic Ocean and become one with the Divine. However, even though they want to become one with the Divine Consciousness and ascend to a new level of conscious being they have no desire to have a relationship with the Divine Being as a Person. New Agers despise fundamental Christianity and its Christ. They are true Gnostics. But the New Ager has something that a fundamental Christian doesn’t; they have a desire to embrace nature and be in harmony with the cosmos. They don’t live in tiny boxes but have a free spirit that is ready to explore the universe; they discover the laws of nature and experience it effects. But just as science without Religion is meaningless so too a New Ager embracing nature and living in harmony with it without being attached to the Divine Source is also like cosmic junk floating in the galaxy. The New Ager may embrace the light and love whole heartedly but unless they don’t unite with the Supreme One who is Love and who is Light, as a Person they will be swept away by the Cosmic Wind. Not even the heavens shall withstand the unleashing of the cosmic force of the Divine Wind which will shake the very stars and planets that they will fall like ripe fruit when the tree is shaken by a violent wind. For there will be a new earth and a new heaven filled with the very Life of the Supreme Divine Person of the Cosmic Christ.

God is science! Religion and Science are one really, like you said without one you won't have the other. New Age is not really new, the divine intelligence is Older than us all. : ) John 1 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was God and the Word is God."

As an educated Geophysicist I totally agree that exploring and learning about science makes me more amazed and in awe of our Creator. There are always parts of science that really irritate me when people try to make too much of it. However, we are made in our Creator's image and the more we learn about him the closer we become to knowing him. Thank you for your thoughtful works.

Arthur Schopenhauer wrote in 1818 on the inability of science to truly explain the universe. He rightly says that science merely takes the regularity of phenomena which we observe around us, and posits "forces of nature" which might be called on to explain phenomena, but the "forces" themselves remain merely posited and never explained:

"The Science of mechanics presupposes matter, gravity,...communicability of motion...as ultimately inexplicable, calls them forces of nature, and their necessary and regular appearance under certain conditions it calls a law of nature. Only after this does the explaination begin, and it consists in indicating accurately and with mathematical exactness, how, where and when each force manifests itself... Physics, chemistry, and physiology preoceed in the same way... Consequently, the most complete...explaination of the whole of nature can never be more than an inventory of forces which cannot be explained, and an authoritative statement of the rule according to whaich phenomena appear in time and space..."

What lies behind as the source of those phenomena remains something inexplicable by scientific observation and reasoning.
